As a soon-to-be lawyer futurus advocatus with a love for fashion, forgiveness, and faith, Breland has seamlessly integrated her passions into WEAR MY PAIN's mission. She views sustainable clothing as symbolic of the men and individuals society has often overlooked, demonstrating their value and usefulness. In her personal statement, Breland emphasizes her commitment to fighting injustice, drawing from her experiences in social services and the criminal justice system.

From advocating for truant students and their families to working with incarcerated individuals struggling with substance abuse, Breland's journey has been marked by a relentless pursuit of justice. Transitioning from a Court Liaison to an Inpatient Therapist, she has witnessed the trauma of incarceration and addiction, empathizing with those who fight for humanity in the face of legal consequences.

Through WEAR MY PAIN, she strives to provide a voice to the silenced and contribute to positive change in the lives of those impacted by mass incarceration.
